The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued the criterion of university students transferring for out of self-control reasons for the academic tear 2017- 2018. The priority will be for the students who lost one of their parents (at the same year of transfer); the student has the right to transfer to a parallel study in the colleges and institutes that are situated in his living area after presenting a prove document.
The married female student during the period of study has the right to transfer to a similar study at the governorate of her husband residence, after presenting the required documents, the official speaker of the ministry Dr. Haider Al- Ebody said. The female student who is separated from her husband during the period of study because of divorce or death also has the right to transfer to a similar study at the residency governorate of her family after presenting the supporting documents.
The sick students in one of the chronic diseases, after presenting a letter of no objection from his university and a medical report from the permanent medical committees in the governorate, signed by the medical committee at the college of medicine of the university, and the injured student who were exposed to fire or bombing or similar act and had permanent disability also have the right of transferring, the speaker added.
The university council also has the right to take in consideration other out of control humanitarian limited cases. The students of the first and final year are not included in such transferring, Al- Ebody clarified.
