News of the Department of Building and Construction Engineering:

In the presence of Senior deputy minister of Higher Education and Scientific research Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abid Atiyah Al-Saraj and under the patronage of the Dean of the Dijlah University College Prof. Dr. Riyadh H. Alanbari the (DUC) presents a lecture by engineer Estabraq Al-Shook entitled "The problems of Randomness Housing in Iraq". The meeting was headed by Al-Shook along with Dr. Dhabya Farooq Ibrahim. The lecture is based on field reports and surveying studies on housing problems and the ratio of randomness spread over the country.

During the symposium the size of the negative effect caused by the increase of the randomness and the fear of its exchange into an obvious attitude was reviewed. Several solutions to limit the practice and to find gradual solution were proposed. The problem was thoroughly discussed and several questions and suggestions to find suitable alternatives were placed to replace housing randomness and find a kind of housing that assures a noble living that the Iraqi constitution insures for the Iraqis.

The symposium was attended by Dr. Abdulhussaain Khuder Al-Shakar of the University of Babylon and Dr. Shaker Al-Mishhidani from the University of Technology as well as the Heads of the College Departments, Staff and students. Before the end of the symposium the Deputy Ministers and the Dean of (DUC) exchanged the appreciation shields.

The Dean of (DUC) invited the attendances to tour the college facilities, and accompanied the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific research while touting the Hospital of dentistry. The Deputy Minister praised the services that the College provides to the patients and the scientific and technical improvements that occur in the college, wishing that the college acquire more advancement and prosperity.
