The Department of Finance and Banking at the Dijlah University College holds a seminar on the tax system reform

The Department of Finance and Banking at the Dijlah University College held a seminar titled "Reforming the Tax System in Iraq" on Monday, 18/3/2019, at the Grand Occasions Hall of the College.

The seminar was opened by assistant professor Dr. Bashir Alwan Hamad, head of the Department of Finance and Banking, who welcome to the audience and talked about the importance of taxes in economic life as one of the main sources of public budget in most countries of the world.

Then, Dr. Karim Salem Kamash talked about the tax system in Iraq explaining the mechanism of tax reform with the aim of achieving efficiency and justice and includes reform of tax legislation, tax system and tax community.

Dr. Karim stressed the need to raise the awareness of this important issue, and improve the relationship between the taxpayer and the financial authority.
